The Justice Building is a classified heritage structure, in recognition of its architectural features, its location on Parliament Hill and its historical significance. As part of the long term planning for the Parliamentary Precinct, the Justice Building was renovated to permanently accommodate 82 office suites for MP's and their staff that were formerly located in the West Block, two ministerial suites, conference and reading rooms and other ancillary services. The renovations started in January 1998 and were completed later that same year.
