2009

In 2009, the firm was retained by the Trinity Memorial Church to implement a complete restoration of the church's building envelope. The undertaking was an important challenge for this small Westmount Anglican community given the planned duration of the restoration campaign, estimated at over 10 years as well as the cost budgeted at approximately $1million dollars. As part of the mandate, the team had to balance the complexity of the work against the limited budget. For each fiscal year, the firm develops a project and prepares contract documents for public tender for priority work. The work has included the replacement of the roof (combination of bituminous membrane, slate tile and sheet copper), structural stabilization and waterproofing of the stone masonry walls and the restoration of the wood windows including the stained-glass windows. To date, the first 3 phases of the work, totalling $400 000, have been carried out within budget allocations.
