The J.–Armand Bombardier (PJAB) Pavilion was jointly developed by the University of Montreal and the École Polytechnique . Dedicated to applied research, it is a centre of science and technology of international calibre integrating science with industry. DMA obtained the mandate for the programme and the initial project definition, and complementary projects. In addition, DMA also undertook the functional and technical programme of the specialized installations located on the first and third floors designated for the nano-biomedical, nano-robotics and bioscience research laboratories as well as the planning of the housing for the animals used in the research. The design included the office and service spaces, with a net area of more than 10 600 m2. The mandate included the coordination and integration of the technical disciplines as well as consultation with the users.
