The CAAHC of the University of Montreal's Faculty of Medicine is one of the largest healthcare simulation-based skills training centres in Canada. Located in the Roger-Gaudry Building, the centre is a key function within the Faculty of Medicine for the development, implementation, evaluation and sharing of training practices as well as for research into the management and didactic tools related to simulation. Thanks to its functional and attractive layout, the Centre has become a valuable marketing feature for the Faculty of Medicine's student recruitment. The project includes several spaces that can be set up to simulate various hospital environments. There are a dozen rooms that can simulate patient rooms in a hospital, a large room with 6 beds to either simulate an emergency ward or intensive care unit, and one suite to simulate an operating room complete with a high-realism robotic figure.
